Body
DIVERSE, the European university alliance formed by Universidad Europea del Atlántico and 11 other European institutions, has been working on student mobility and academic cooperation for more than 4 years. Now, the European Commission has officially recognised this group as a European University Alliance, which reinforces the international projection of UNEATLANTICO.
This recognition is part of the EU's strategy for higher education, which currently has 73 partnerships involving more than 570 institutions out of a total of some 5.000 in Europe.
In this way, UNEATLANTICO and the other members of the consortium join this small group of educational institutions that are part of the European Universities Initiative, which aims to generate a real impact at local and international level.
The European Commission has awarded the Seal of Excellence to DIVERSE, recognising the commitment of UNEATLANTICO to internationalisation since its opening. This accreditation opens up new opportunities for collaboration in the fields of higher education and research beyond our borders.
The alliance aims to create a multidisciplinary university campus that gathers more than 150.000 students and 15.000 educators and researchers, with the purpose of being a global leader in the science of entrepreneurship.
DIVERSE's mission is to encourage the transformation of research results into products, services and processes that are useful to society, to foster the mobility of students and staff, and to strengthen the employability of graduates.
