The Erasmus+ long-term mobility program allows students to undertake a study or work placement period abroad lasting between 2 and 12 months, including mobility opportunities that combine in-person and online components, with guaranteed academic recognition.
These mobility programs can take place at universities or institutions located in Europe or in third countries associated with the Erasmus+ program.
A single student may participate in several program mobility opportunities throughout their academic career, whether for study or work placements. However, the European Commission sets a maximum limit of 12 months of mobility per academic cycle (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate), which may be distributed among different stays and formats within the same academic cycle.
The main objective of long-term Erasmus+ mobility programs is to promote internationalization, foster the acquisition of academic, professional, and language competencies, and strengthen cooperation among European educational institutions, offering students a well-rounded educational and personal experience in an international setting.
