Guillermo Martínez Bárcena

Director of the Cinema Club of the University of Cantabria and the University Film Library. He has more than 15 years of experience in the training and dissemination of the seventh art through courses and seminars on film history and film analysis in various universities (Spain: University of Cantabria and the Pontifical University of Salamanca; Mexico: UNAM and TEC of Monterrey; USA.: University of Berkeley).
Photographer. BA in Fine Arts, postgraduate in Photojournalism and Master's Degree in Direction of Film Photography. She teaches photography in the Undergraduates in Journalism, Audiovisual Communication and Advertising.
Degree in Graphic Design from Universidad Loyola del Pacífico, Mexico. Master's Degree in Photography from TAFE Queensland, Australia. Long professional career as a graphic designer, art director, digital animator and illustrator.
Graduate in Hispanic Studies, Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language with Extraordinary End of Degree Award (UC), Master's Degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language (UC), Master's Degree in Audiovisual Translation (ISTRAD) and Master's Degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training. Audiovisual translator whose works reach the main streaming platforms.
Law Degree from the University of Cantabria. International MBA from ESDEN. He has held management positions in different sectors and departments, especially in management and people management. Expert in the start-up of national projects, participating in their strategic design and implementation. General Manager of Televisión Popular de Santander.
D. Cum Laude with honors in Contemporary History from the University of Cantabria. He has been Research Visitor at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. He has received the History and Geography Research Award from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Cantabria, the XVI Concepción Gimeno de Flaquer Award from the University of Zaragoza and the runner-up prize of the XXIV Carmen de Burgos Feminist Dissemination Award from the University of Malaga. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Aula Interdisciplinar Isabel Torres de Estudios de las Mujeres y del Género of the University of Cantabria.
